My job entitles several different things from: orientations, assessments, teaching functional movement class, and of course training my clients. I?ll start off with the orientations that I give at the club I work at; after introducing myself I then proceed to go over the cardio equipment that we have that consist of: treadmills, cross-trainers, stationary bikes, and so on. After making sure they understand how to properly operate and effectively use those machines, we then proceed to the weight lifting machines; then I demonstrate how to properly use all of the equipment that we have as far as strength building, toning, and bone mass building. Four times a week I will teach a medicine ball class that consist of core movements, upper body toning, and also the conditioning of the lower body extremities. Also on top of doing all those activities, when asked go to some companies and fairs that the Athletic Club is apart of; and I teach and also take: body fat, weight, a persons strength, and teach proper stretching techniques at these functions. Now when it comes to my clients I take weight, body fat, measurements of their body, and proscribe a sample diet. We also perform a verity of cardio building workouts, with a combination of full body workouts and stretching, and a number of abdominal exercises. These exercises range to and from: weight lifting, plyometrics, speed building, water training and swimming for the clients that I train with bad joints and poor mobility.

I use my Certification every single day at work and also while I'm out doing different activities outside of work. For work, as an example, if I happen to not pay attention when I'm training someone they could get hurt; due to over exerting them selves or improper lifting. The same thing applies for out side of work, seeing people lift something that is way to heavy for one person and not having a proper posture for that object during lifting. This Certification has also helped me proscribe different workouts and given me numerous ideas; and showed me how to teach my clients how to train specific body parts which they want to work on. In short with out the Certification I wouldn't enjoy working, but now I'm able to do what I love; and that is help people feel better and achieve their fitness goals in life.

I guess I could say I was a lucky one when it came to job seeking; I was already working at an Athletic Club as a front desk employee.
