Your ExpertRating IQ Score: 101 |
The following traits were tested in the test taken by you: |
1. | Linguistic/Verbal Ability | 86% | 2. | Logical Ability | 67% | 3. | Numerical Skills | 33% | 4. | Perceptual Skills | 50% | 5. | Visual Spatial Skills | 60% |
What does your score mean? |
Now that you've got your IQ score, you might want to know just what it means. The following table will help you interpret your score: |
I.Q. | Intelligence Level | How you compare |
130 and Above | Very High | You are more intelligent than 98% of people |
120 - 129 | High | You are more intelligent than 91-97% of people |
110 - 119 | Above average | You are more intelligent than 75-90% of people |
90 - 109 | Average | You are more intelligent than 25-74% of people |
80-89 | Below Average | You are less intelligent than 91-77% of people |
70 - 79 | Low | You are less intelligent than 98-92% of people |
60 or Below | Deficient | You are less intelligent than 99% of people |
Gauge your intelligence with the ExpertRating Percentile Vs IQ Graph:
You can look up your IQ score on the X axis and check your corresponding percentile. For example, if you have an IQ of 120, it corresponds to a percentile score of about 90 on the Y axis. This signifies that your score is above 90 percent of the individuals who took this test. |
What do your results mean? |
Your Percentile value denotes the percentage of candidates who have scored less than you in this test. Note that your Percentile value is likely to change in the future as more candidates appear.
What is IQ?
As the name suggests, IQ or Intelligence Quotient is a measure of intelligence. Theoretically, IQ scores can range from 0 to 200, but practically, a range of 60 to 140 is used in most IQ tests because there is a high margin of error when attempting to compute IQ beyond these limits. An individual of average intelligence would have an IQ of 100, meaning that he/she is more intelligent than exactly 50% of the population. An IQ of 60 represents extremely low intelligence and an IQ of 140 denotes extremely high intelligence. Most people in the world have an IQ between 90 and 110.
There are several components that make up an individual's intelligence like - logical ability, numerical skills, perceptual skills, linguistic/verbal ability and visual-spatial skills. Each of these skills were tested in the ExpertRating IQ test.
How did we calculate your score?
We compared your performance in the test with that of thousands people who have taken the test before you. Based upon this we were able to conclude how your intelligence compares with everyone else in the group of all test takers. After some statistical treatment to reduce the margin of error, we came up with your final IQ score. |
Calculation of IQ Scores
IQ Score is the mathematical relation between a person's mental age and chronological age multiplied by 100. The ExpertRating IQ Test generates your IQ results by calibrating and comparing your test scores to the already existing scores in our data-base.
What are the different components of intelligence?
There are several components that make up an individuals intelligence - logical ability, numerical skills, perceptual skills, linguistic/verbal ability and visual-spatial skills. Each of these skills were tested in the ExpertRating IQ test. Here is an explanation of each:
Logical ability
| Logical ability may be defined as the capability to observe things in a tactful way so as to be able to frame a general set of rules which may be used to solve problems arising in similar situations. Solving certain problems may require creative thinking and reasoning skills, while also keeping the basic purpose to be achieved in mind.
Numerical skills
Numerical skills are the skills applied by a person to perceive, analyze and calculate the numerical data and solve various problems based on the result values.
Numerical skills include:
Understanding numbers, what they signify within different contexts like in an excel sheet, a bill, a credit card, etc.
The ability to pin point any mistakes in a series of co-related numbers, following a definite pattern and the ability to correct any such mistakes.
Linguistic/verbal ability
Linguistic/Verbal ability refers to the skills required to use words either orally or in writing, in a proper meaningful way. It signifies the ability to express oneself fully in a given language.
Visual spatial skills
Visual Spatial skills refer to the set of skills that allow an individual to perceive, interpret and act on visual stimuli in our surroundings. While "Visual" refers to the things observed through eyes, "Spatial" refers to the ability to judge the position and location of things in three-dimensional space, in relation to one's own body (viewer-centered spatial information), as well as to other objects in the environment (object-centred spatial information). It includes skills such as identifying objects and faces , expressions, maneuvering through a swimming pool, around obstacles, traffic signals, reading, watching TV etc.

What is the IQ bell curve?
Different people have different levels of intelligence. When scientists study a large group of people, they find that the group always contains just a handful of geniuses and a similarly small number of people with extremely low intelligence. The vast majority of people in the group are neither geniuses, nor are they extremely unintelligent, they possess average intelligence. The bell curve is a graphical representation of the IQ of a group. The left side of the curve represents below average IQ, the right side represents above average IQ, and the center represents average IQ- that is an IQ of 100. As is evident from looking at the chart, the height of the curve is less at the left and right extremities and it is maximum at the center, meaning that there are very few people with extremely low or extremely high intelligence, because most of the people have close to average intelligence.
